Strengths-Based Approach

This approach belief that every person already carries inner strengths, resources, and wisdom. Rather than focusing only on what is “wrong” or “missing,” we work together to recognise and build upon what is already strong in your life. By identifying your skills, values, and resilience, you can feel more empowered to face challenges, create change, and move forward with confidence. This perspective allows space for hope, growth, and the rediscovery of your own potential.

Trauma-Informed

A trauma-informed approach means recognising how past experiences can shape the present and creating a safe, supportive environment for healing. Sessions are guided by principles of safety, trust, and choice. You are never pushed to share more than you feel ready for. Instead, we move at your pace, with compassion and care, so that you feel respected, understood, and in control of your own process. This approach honours your story, while supporting you to find new ways of relating to yourself and the world.

Client-Centered Approach

At the heart of counselling is the relationship between client and therapist. A client-centered approach places you — your needs, values, and goals — at the centre of the work. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you, offering empathy, deep listening, and understanding. Together, we create a space where you can explore freely, without judgment, and where your voice is always respected. As a Registered Counsellor, I'm affiliated with BUPA, offering eligible clients access to counselling rebates.

Please check directly with your private health insurance provider to confirm whether counselling is included in your plan, the rebate amount available, and the number of sessions covered each year.

After your session payment, you will receive an invoice receipt containing my provider number and service code. You can then submit this receipt to your health fund to claim your reimbursement.
